S.O.S. Moths in Carpets

Moths are lepidoptera whose larvae feed on wool and other natural fabrics, making carpets a high-risk item.

Moth infestations are a common issue, but they can be prevented and/or resolved.

To prevent moth problems, we recommend the following:

• Frequently check your carpets for any traces of cocoons woven by the larvae;
• Leave your carpets in the sun (one hour per side) at least every three weeks during warm periods and whenever there is good sun in colder periods;
• If you are not using your carpets, store them in dry, bright places and use moth-repellent sachets (but make sure to air them as recommended above).

If moths have already infested your carpets, it's necessary to treat them promptly with specific products (medical device) that, in addition to eliminating the insect, prevent the recurrence of the problem due to their residual power.
